The Ollie Project
The Ollie Otter Seat Belt and Booster Safety Program teaches kids about the importance of driving safety.
As the voyage project for MTIMAGINE, MTSU's animation company, we were tasked to make an animated musical intro in less than five months. I acted as Team Lead among six other MTSU students. My specific roles included Editing Lead, Animation Lead, as well as storyboarding/conceptualization, motion graphics, and animating
As an alum, I continued my role as Team Lead and became the Head Writer of five episodic commercials. I managed a new set of employees, storyboarded the episode "Booster Time," and edited the animatics.
Animated portion: 00:38-00:45
"Booster Time" is one of four PSAs I wrote for The Ollie Project. Since I animated the original "Booster Time" segment of the musical intro, I placed in charge of visually developing this episode and creating the storyboard/animatic. Notably, I retimed/rearranged the remaining episodes' storyboards for final presentation.
"First" Episode
In addition to the main four PSAs, it was decided to create an introduction video for the child characters Ollie befriends that included all four of the key messages Ollie represents. On a tight deadline, I put together (and voiced) the intro.

Night Light
A heartwarming short film about a boy and his father's mutual fear of the dark
"Night Light" is a short film created by Ayah Hollie, Cierra Kelso, Emily Whittenberg, and Kelsey Latham as a part of their senior thesis film. I joined during post-production and created the VFX for the film, including glowing orbs (top left) and the vignette "arms" of the shadow monsters. I also assumed the role of Animation Supervisor/Clean Up, providing notes to the animators in addition to building off of their first pass animation. However, I animated the bottom left independently.

Corset Contraption
In the Fall of 2020, the Corset Contraption was born. Combining the concept of a dress form and a rotary phone, this blusterous accessory pulls influence from steampunk and traditional bustiers.

Hidden Town in 3D
Hidden Town in 3D was a collaboration between 5 graduate History students, 3 Animation students, and 2 Animation alum, all led by Animation and History faculty. Our goal was to model and texture historic artifacts for use in an interactive AR/VR visualization at the Old Salem Museum.
I created this straw hat, a felt hat, and two flower pots.

Dark and stormy night? This little toy inspired by bugs will bring comfort to even the scared-iest of cats. Created in Fall of 2020, this was my first venture into complex rigging.

Awaiting Letter
Dated Spring 2020, this is my first 3D animation. Using old Barbie VHS tapes and Veggietales as inspiration, I created a simple, yet whimsical environment.

The Giver
Inspired by the "Take on Me" music video, I rotoscoped myself using Krita. In order to push the visual interest, I used masking-based rotoscoping for the apple from my reference footage.

Squirrel in Park
Branching away from my favorite subject, people, I explored walk cycles (or jump cycles) of two animals: a grasshopper and a squirrel. I integrated them into footage shot by Paul Griswald using motion tracking.
